b. Old-Time and New Ski Jumpers
A memory of the early days of ski jumping. In the mothball-box of film, we found these amusing pictures from the opening of an artificial ski jump built in 1925. It was a dangerous undertaking and the spectators stood flabbergasted.
To-day, they jump in a different way: for the first time, a woman in USA tried it and succeeded. That spurned the ambition of a male champion. He made a salto and came safely back to earth. This is not recommended for imitation.

c. Bob Race
A turbulent start for the 7th International Wintersport Week at Garmisch-Partenkirchen. 4.000 spectators saw the first international bob race of the season. The big Bavarian Curve was a dangerous test for the racing technique of the teams. For the Swedish team, an ice wall became disastrous. During training, the President of the Stockholm Bob Club died in an accident. The German champion Andreas Ostler was winner of the 4-men-team bob race.
