Each jump takes 3 seconds - a long time for the man in the air and for all the thousands of people who watch him. And here is the one moment which made history in skiing: the 27 year old Swede Dan Netzell races down the starting track and flies through the ether, further than any person on skis has ever flown before: 135 meters, a world record. This jump remained the high light of the magnificent ski jumping week at Oberstdorf.
