a. Washing Machine

One can put 8 to 10 pounds of laundry in one machine. A slip with the name of the customer is pinned on the machine and then a coin starts it working. The machine soaks the laundry, washes it and rinses it in 16 different processes. Now the customer can go for a walk or shopping. The cleaned laundry comes into a drying compartment. After about 45 minutes one can go home with the laundry ready to be ironed.

b. Starmix
There is also a novelty for the kitchen: a machine for preparing meals and hot drinks in the shortest possible time. The machine grinds coffee, cuts vegetables and meat, whisks eggs and makes dough for cakes. Really a fine apparatus. From the cabbage-roll to the egg-cognac including the egg-shell - it mixed everything. And in about 2 minutes the mixture is ready to be served.

a. Elks
In the State of Washington, USA, thousands of hungry elk plundered the farms because they could not find anything to eat under the thick snow cover. So the farmers had the funny idea of driving the elk together with the help of helicopters. Like a big bird the plane drives the elk into fenced feeding places. Then when hunger is stilled then go back into the woods with fresh strength.

b. Ice Skating
And now we jump right into the Ice Stadium of Rockefeller Center in New York. Here is Helen Roussell, the youngest ice skater in the world. She started ice skating when she was two years old. Today she is three and no longer a beginner. - So it goes: today a greenhorn - and may be to-morrow a second Sonja Henie.
