Another new thrill which the arctic winter of 1947 brought forth: swimming in the open air. Pelted with snow-balls they jump from the icy air into the basin and become warm during the contest.
So the swimming club of the "Stuttgart Turnerbund" held a water festival in the damaged baths of Cannstadt.
There wererelay-races and cold spectators, water-polo and some catarrhs.
Finally a prize of honour for the water-and weather-proof winning party.
