The former "Volkswagen"-works at Fallersleben have resumed the production of motorcars.. The plant, heavily damaged in the war, has been fully repaired. About 18'000 workers are employed here and in incidental industries. Orders and sufficient rawstock ensure constant production.
The output is distributed by the Military Government to certain departments of the Occupation Forces and to vital German industries. These cars are specially made for the German postal authorities.
