01 Mrs. Roosevelt visited Germany Mrs. Roosevelt, the widow of the late great President of the United States, undertook a three-day trip through Germany after their participation in the London Conference of the United Nations. In Berlin Mrs. Roosevelt visits female members of the US Army and inspects several DP Camps. Later she arrives at the ruined Chancellery where she is welcomed by high-ranking Russian Officers ... She inspects the air-raid shelter of the Chancellery ...
From Berlin Mrs. Roosevelt leaves for a short stay in Ireland.

02. Pius XII. Blesses The Children
In St. Peter's Church in Rome, the largest cathedral of Christianity, a vast gathering receives the blessing of the pope who was 70 years old on March 2 nd. Thousands of children are among the congregation, orphans whose parents were killed during the war.
The kids are now under care of UNRRA and other relief organisations. After the service in the cathedral the pope appears on the balcony and blesses the waiting crowd on Th. Peter's Place.

03. Western Germany:

Floods
Western Germany is the scene of the worst floods Germany has had in a century. Exeptionally heave rains caused the sudden rising of all rivers, devastating roads and fields, washing away houses and bridges. Church bells sounded the alarm.
From the pulpits every ablebodied man was summoned for the building of emergency dikes.
These airial pictures were taken in the Weser-area.
Agriculture suffers heavely as the soil is washed away by the waters.
Rubble of the blasted Hohenzollern-Bridge in Cologne obstructs flow of the torrentail waters, forcing them here and elsewhere into new channels. Traffic is directed over a temporary bridge, and ferryboats help in the transportation. The rural population and the Occupation Troops get around by means of boats and quickly constructed rafts.
The extent of the damage cannot be estimated yet.
According to latest reports the water is beginning to drop in the worst afflicted areas.

04. Nuremberg
In Nuremberg Trial, the Sowjet Russian bill of indictment is concluded. After General Rudenkows speech the other Russian prosecutors prove through documents, orders, photographs and films that the German attack on Russia was prepared a long time in advance.
The Russian indictment against the Party and the Wehrmacht includes crimes against humanity, atrocities, the slaughter of millions of Russian Prisoners of War and civilians, destructions and systematical looting of occupied territories.
Hitler's personal photographer, Heinrich Hoffmann, has been arrested and is in Nuremberg, too. Once, he had the monopoly to publish pictures of the Führer and his entourage and made a fortune out of it. Now he works in the Documentary Department of the Palace of Justice where his personal knowledge of the accused and the extensive photomaterial of his publishing business are utilized in the interests of clarafication and justice.

05. Mr. Churchill In Miami
From New York where they had received a rousing welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Churchill went by train to Miami.
Here, the 71 year old Statesman spent part of the winter in the mild sunshine of Florida - bathing, painting, taking it easy ... though the press and newsreel men were always hot on his trail.
At the end of his holiday the doctors' verdict is: He was never in better health and spirits.
